About Me

I am Head of ICT at Winchester House independent pre-prep/prep school in Brackley, Northants. Currently teaching ICT throughout the school from Nursery up to Year 8.

I am the founder of the #RethinkingICT conference which will be held on the 8th June at Winchester House School and aims to bring together all interested parties to discuss the future of ICT teaching.

I am a member of the NorthantsBLT (Better Learning through Technology) network and have presented at several BLTMeets. I have also presented at a Teachmeet in Milton Keynes, at the East Sussex ICT annual conference, on the 2Simple stand at BETT and at the “Changing the Game” conference in Birmingham.

I am always developing innovative ideas to help children develop their creativity through exciting cross-curricular projects including the #1066election Twitter based project which was featured on the BBC Blog and the Gunpowder, Tweeting and Plot project which involved children from several schools working together to tell the story of the Gunpowder Plot.

I am the founder of the TinkerShed, a space at Winchester House School dedicated to bringing together arts, craft, electronics and computing –  a space for the children to unleash their creativity.

I am a Google Certified Educator and a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator

As well as children, colleagues from the profession are lucky to have Chris. He is always inspirational and innovative on Twitter. His ideas always challenge me to think again-an educator par excellence.

  3. There is no doubt you have made a significant impression by being an innovator. The use of online services such as Twitter has meant your ideas have been able to bounce around the world. They are able to influence the global classroom in a way impossible not all that long ago.
