Leading up to Christmas I ran a project to celebrate the 2ooth anniversary of Charles Dickens’ birth in which we attempted to record a collaborative online audio book of A Christmas Carol. This project was called #BooHumbug and we successfully managed to record the first two chapters using AudioBoo with contributions from as far as Australia and the USA.

This was just a trial run for a larger project I hope to begin on the 7th February (Dickens’ birthday) and the aim is to use AudioBoo again to record Oliver Twist. There are 53 chapters in the book and so it would be fantastic if I could get 53 schools to join in and take a chapter each. Schools could also then do other work relating to Oliver Twist and blog or tweet about it using the #OliverTweets hashtag.

I will set up a Google Doc shortly to allow people to sign up to take part.
