Where History Happened

A few months ago I experimented with Google Maps to create a Map including the locations relevant to the Gunpowder Plot. This idea came from the feature in the BBC History Magazine. I received some very positive feedback since producing this map and now want to see if I can develop the idea further. I have just started another map based around the Norman Conquest and would really like ideas on how this could maybe be combined with other online tools to provide a really good online resource for teaching history.

Ideally i’d like a way for the locations to be visited in chronological order without having to enter them onto the map in sequence.

I’m open to suggestions and would welcome any input so please feel free to contribute to the map.
